ModuHelp vs Intercom Fin

Fin is one of the most capable AI agents on the market. For a small company the difference that matters is not capability — it is how each one reaches the invoice.

The short answer

Intercom is a full customer service platform and Fin is the AI agent that runs on top of it. It resolves conversations on its own, works across channels, and is used by companies at volumes most small European businesses will never see.

The pricing has two parts: you pay per seat, and you pay for Fin per outcome, separately. That works when you can put a number on a resolved ticket. For a five-person company it means an invoice that depends on how many customers wrote in that month.

ModuHelp chose the opposite: a flat price with a set number of replies included. You know the amount before the month starts. In exchange it does far less than Intercom — replies go out by email, with no reporting and no real-time channels.

Intercom (Fin) pricing

Essential
29 USDper seat/month, billed annually
Advanced
85 USDper seat/month, billed annually
Expert
132 USDper seat/month, billed annually

How the AI is billed: Fin is billed separately, from 0.99 USD per outcome — an outcome counts once per conversation, even if several questions get answered.

ModuHelp pricing

Starter
19.90 €per month + VAT · 300 AI replies · up to 3 users
Pro
49.90 €per month + VAT · 1,000 AI replies · up to 10 users

How the AI is billed: Not billed separately. AI replies are included up to the monthly cap; replying by hand never counts against it.

What Intercom (Fin) does better

None of this is throat-clearing. If you need any of it, Intercom (Fin) is the right call and ModuHelp is not.

What ModuHelp does not do

Where ModuHelp differs

The invoice does not track volume

Fin bills per outcome. If the month goes badly and twice the email arrives, you pay twice. A ModuHelp plan includes 300 or 1,000 AI replies, and replying by hand never counts against the cap.

Approval instead of autonomy

Fin's argument is resolving without intervention. ModuHelp's is the opposite: the draft waits for you. When you have few customers and each one counts, seeing it before it sends is not friction — it is the reason to use the tool.

No real time, on purpose

There is no live chat to watch. Support keeps happening at the email address your customers already use — and, if you want it, in a contact form on your site that suggests articles before the request is ever sent.

Choose Intercom (Fin) if

  • You want the AI to resolve on its own and can measure what a resolution is worth.
  • You have enough volume that per-outcome pricing is predictable.
  • You need site chat, a mobile app or social channels.
  • You need reporting and multi-step workflow automation.
  • You have someone who administers the tool and tunes the agent.

Choose ModuHelp if

  • You prefer a fixed invoice to one that follows your volume.
  • You want to approve every reply before it sends, at least at first.
  • Email is the channel and you do not want to open another.
  • You are a few people and nobody is going to administer a platform.
  • You want EU-hosted data, euro billing and a GDPR DPA.
